Temple Basin is located on the main divide of the Southern Alps in the Arthurs Pass National Park. The mountain is spread over four separate basins and the highest point is Mt. B'Limit at 1923 metres.
There is over 320 hectares of rideable terrain and a vertical drop of 430 metres, accessed by three rope tows and one beginners fixed grip tow. The Cassidy Tow provides a gentle area for beginners to progress. The areas of the Temple Tow and Downhill Tow are perfect for intermediates. Advanced riders have a whole mountain of awesome freeriding terrain to explore.
The short hike into Bill's Basin opens up the entire expanse of the mountain and offers many challenging options. Traversing further across takes you onto the wide open area of Mt. Cassidy. Temple Basin faces north-west providing long sunny days, and its location deep in the mountains ensures big snowfalls.
