Mount Olympus ski area is a south facing basin set high in the Craigieburn Range perfect for trapping powder dumps! The mountain has a vertical drop of 450 metres and has over 60 hectares of varied terrain providing riding from beginner to extreme.
There is a beginners area at the top of the access tow close to the Top Hut lodge. From the top of the Main Tow and the Top Tow there are plenty of choices, with runs to suit intermediate and advanced snowboarders. This area of the mountain has some great natural hits, including rock drops of different sizes and a couple of naturally forming quarterpipes.
Those interested in some walking from the Top Tow will be rewarded with even more terrain on either side of the mountain. The isolation and low skier numbers of Mount Olympus means it can take up to a week to get tracks on some slopes.
